Does Nyumba handle the rent money? +
No. Rent is always paid directly between tenant and landlord through your own bank or mobile money. Nyumba only records that a payment was reported and confirmed — it never holds or moves funds.
How does a tenant join? +
You generate a one-time invite code for a unit and share it however you like — WhatsApp, SMS or email. The tenant enters the code to get their own portal. No tenant can ever see another tenant's data.
Which countries and currencies are supported? +
Nyumba is global. Amounts are shown in your local currency automatically based on your country — Kenyan Shillings, Naira, Cedis, Rand, Dollars, Euros, Rupees and more — and the app is available in 25+ languages.
What happens after the free trial? +
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial — no card needed. When it ends, choose the plan that fits your portfolio. You keep all your data, and you can change or cancel your plan anytime.
Does it work offline? +
